Last Friday was "Family Day" for Kevin's flight school class. Each student got to have as many family members as they wanted come to see them fly. We had lunch in their break room, and we were also able to climb to the top of the traffic control tower and see how everything works up there. A few women were able to talk to their significant others on the radio, but by the time Kevin was flying they had stopped allowing it :(. It was a beautiful day weather-wise, we couldn't have asked for better. Kerriann did pretty well the entire time, although she did get spooked the first time a helicopter landed close to us. It was a little bit too loud for her. By the end of the afternoon she was completely worn out and actually fell asleep on me at the top of the tower. For those of you who know her well, it takes a lot for her to fall asleep anywhere, so I knew she had had enough! Below are some pictures from the day... the helicopter marked 48H is the one that Kevin was flying. It was hard to believe that he was actually in control of it! I have a few short videos but the quality of them is not very good, I might post them in the future.
