NEW BLOG

Hi everyone! The past month or so has been extremely busy, but I've finally found the time to start our new blog. The link is http://adrianeh.blogspot.com/ so be sure to follow me and add it to your book marks! I will no longer be updating "The Southern Life" so that's where you should go for all of our family news. Love you all!

Happy Birthday Grammy!

*I posted this on Facebook, but for anyone who didn't see... I've hit my photo storage limit on "The Southern Life" so now I either have to start paying for photo storage or start a new blog. I am leaning toward starting a new one because I had planned to when we move in November anyways... so until then I'll be accepting applications for the title of our new family blog! ;)

Onto more exciting news... Happy 80th Birthday to Kevin's Grammy Hazel! She is such a wonderful lady and has been so kind and generous to me since the first time I met her. I really wish that we could have been with her to celebrate her big day... but I hope she had a wonderful one! Kevin, Kerriann and I love you so much! Happy Birthday!

Kerriann talking-video

Here is the video I forgot to post of Kerriann dancing before the dolphin show at Gulf World a couple of weeks ago... enjoy!

Updates on Kerriann

I haven't posted pictures lately because something is wrong with the web site and it won't let me upload them! :(  So instead I am going to give you guys a written update on what Kerriann has been up to lately.  Hopefully I can get the problem worked out soon!

Words Kerriann is saying at 13 1/2 months:
Mama
Dada
Papa
Cheese
Bubbles
Ball
Toes
Nose
Dog (her own version, we know what she means)
Woof woof
Kitty cat
Diaper
Ears
Puffs
Cup
Shoes
Hi and Hello
Bye
Uh oh... that's all I can think of for now but if I think of anymore I'll edit to add them!  She is VERY vocal and loves to talk to us.  She also can sign "more," "all done," and "hungry" which is a huge help.  It's nice not having to guess when she wants to eat.  She will either show me the "hungry" sign or walk over to her high chair and ask to eat!

Kerriann has figured out and understands what it means to go somewhere.  If she wants to go outside she will bring me my shoes and then try to push me to the door!  She also loves wearing her shoes around the house.  She definitely seems to be developing a love for anything girly... give her a purse, pair of shoes, or bracelet and she will walk around the house for hours just modeling them.

She is sleeping from 7:30pm-ish to 6am and then taking one nap a day from noon-1.  She is full of energy and never slows down!

She has 8 of her front teeth and her first molar just poked through her gums on the right side of her mouth within the last week.

Some of Kerriann's favorite foods are:  applesauce, peanut butter sandwiches, pears (she still eats these in pureed form), pancakes, Cheerios, spaghetti or any form of pasta, french fries, peas, carrots, cheese and black beans.  She loves whole milk and water (we still haven't given her juice) and would drink all day if we would let her.

Ok... that's all that I can think of for now... I won't have any weight or height updates until her next doctor appointment at 15 months... but let me know if I left anything out that you're curious about!

Gulf World

Kevin, Kerriann and I decided to take advantage of the long weekend and took a day trip to Panama City Beach on Sunday.  We were in the mood to do something other than go to the beach, so we decided to check out Gulf World which was a smaller version of Sea World.  We had a great time and I highly recommend it for anyone with kids who's visiting the area.  Most of the exhibits and shows were either indoors or shaded which was GREAT with the heat!

After we were done at Gulf World, we did some window shopping at Pier Park and had dinner outside at one of the restaurants there.  It was so nice to spend two days in a row with Kevin, just relaxing!  It has been ages since we've done that!

Below are some pictures from Gulf World...

Holding on for dear life, she was a little bit nervous at first around the birds
 Checking out the sting rays

One of the parrots, they had a great bird show too, but the lighting was too bad for pictures

She knew exactly what to do with this!

Patiently waiting for the dolphin show to begin... she was dancing to the music and the little girl behind her was staring at her the whole time... I'll try to upload the video of that soon!

 Yes, we got soaked!
