Christmas with the Lohr/Mcdonough Family

This year Kevin, Kerriann and I spent Christmas eve and Christmas day with my family in Gassaway.

The festivities began on Christmas eve when we had dinner at the Gillenwater's house just like we do every year... but they STILL didn't have power from the storm.  Marilyn managed to pull together an AMAZING dinner... but sadly we don't have any pictures since there was no light and everything was really rushed and hectic.  She had to use ovens at 3 different friends houses in order to have all of the food ready.  Before dinner she said a long prayer about how humbled we were by our experiences with no power or heat over the past few days and soon after the prayer was said the power returned!!!  We all called it our Christmas miracle :).  After dinner we attended mass at St. Thomas in Gassaway and then we finished wrapping gifts and preparing for Christmas morning.

On Christmas morning my Dad joined us as we opened presents and stocking from the family and Santa.  It was a great morning and we took tons of pictures to remember Kerriann's first Christmas.  My big gift from Kevin was an external hard drive which I have been needing for ages... I'm so excited to back up all of my pictures.  Losing them has been one of my biggest fears!  Kevin's big gift was a power tool.  That evening we had a delicious dinner of cornish hens (thanks Rachel Ray!) and then decorated sugar cookies which is my favorite Christmas tradition.  Below are some pictures from the day.

This was actually taken on the 23rd before last minute Christmas shopping
