A day late... but today's Memory Monday is dedicated to the ice fishing trip that we took around this time last winter! We stayed in Kingston, NY for a weekend and went ice fishing for the first time with Kevin's 2nd cousins. It was VERY cold but a lot of fun! They taught us all of the tricks from drilling the holes to cooking our catch for lunch. Below are some pictures from the trip.
Carrying all of our supplies out onto the icy pond on sleds
The blue tool is what we used to drill the holes in the ice (I can't remember what it's called though, sorry!)
Setting the hook and bait in the holes (there are proper names for everything in these pictures... I wish I could remember!)
When the flag comes unsnapped and is sticking up that's how you know you have a fish!
I'm a huge baby and was freezing to death!
Kevin all bundled up
This fire kept us warm and provided us with lunch
The little camp that we set up... I spent a lot of time in the tent with the heater haha!
