I hate that it has taken me so long to update! Things have been crazy the past few weeks since Kerriann was born. I can't believe today is already her 3 week birthday! Last week at her 2 week check-up she had gained 9 oz and weighed in at 6 lbs 14 oz. She is growing so fast! She was also 20 in. We found out that she has acid reflux. Luckily her pediatrician was able to subscribe a medication to help her with it and she has been doing GREAT ever since. She hardly cries, only when she's hungry, tired, or needs a diaper change. She is still waking up every 2-3 hours during the night but she is staying awake in longer stretches during the day. This is making it easier for us to get her back to sleep during the night.
On to the next topic...we finally moved into our new house! There are pictures of it in a previous post if you're curious to see. Moving was REALLY stressful and time consuming for Kevin. I had only been out of the hospital for a week at that point and was still really sore so I wasn't much help. We didn't see a lot of him for the week before our trip but it is such a relief to be out of our old house.
Last Tuesday we started our trip up north! Tuesday night we stayed in a hotel in TN and Wednesday night we stayed in Martinsburg, WV with Kevin's Grammy. It was so great to see her and introduce her to Kerriann! Late Thursday night we arrived in Branchburg, NJ. We stayed there until Saturday with Kevin's mom. We had a great time visiting with Kevin's friends while we were there. They were so excited to see Kerriann. Sean and Alaina were also able to stop by Friday night and meet her. On Saturday we said our goodbyes and headed to the next stop on our trip-Poolesville, MD! Kerriann and I will be staying here with Kevin's Aunt Julie and her family until next weekend. Sadly, I had to take Kevin to BWI on Sunday morning to fly back to AL. He will be in SERE training for the next 3 weeks and cannot have contact with anyone until Sept. 14. It hasn't been a full 24 hours since we last talked but I am already missing having him around. I'm sure Kerriann misses him too. I really hope the next 3 weeks fly by! I am so lucky that I have our families to help us out and keep us company while he is gone.
