Kevin's Birthday Weekend

Kevin's birthday was April 18th so last weekend we took our first trip to Panama City Beach, FL. It's only about 1 1/2 hours from where we live so it was not a bad drive at all. We went to the beach, drove around and explored a few different places including the Navy base, had dinner at Uncle Ernie's Bayfront Grill (awesome food!) and finished the night up at Schooner's, a local bar and grill, to celebrate. A band from NY called Area Codes was playing and they were awesome! We had a really great time...Kevin might have had too much fun, haha! It was nice to go out there because smoking is banned so the little one was in no danger. Everyone in the south is so friendly too...it didn't matter that we arrived alone...by the time we left we had made about 8 friends. Kevin even found a few dance partners including an older woman who was also celebrating her birthday :). We finished up the weekend with a home made cheese cake although Kevin declined for me to sing him the Happy Birthday song. I'm pretty sure he still made a wish though before he blew out the candles.
