Kingston, NY

After we were done in WV we made our way farther north to visit with Kevin's family and friends.  We made a stop in Branchburg, NJ to stay with Kevin's mom, Katie, and to visit with some of his friends from high school... then we were off to Kingston, NY to see his dad, Tom, and a few of his second cousins.  Tom has just started working at an outdoor shop in the area and we were able to stop and see it while we were in town.  We were also able to check out the house that Tom and Katie will soon (hopefully?!?) be closing on!  It's so nice and we can't wait to visit them both there in the future.

Harpers Ferry, WV

During our trip home we made a few stops in the eastern panhandle of WV to scope out the locations for our wedding, reception, and rehearsal dinner.  If all goes according to plan, we'll be holding the rehearsal dinner and our pre-ceremony photos in Harpers Ferry.  Originally, Kevin and I wanted to have our wedding ceremony at St. Peter's in Harpers Ferry.  The church is very historic and beautiful, but it was just too small to accommodate our guest list.  Since we can't have the wedding in Harpers Ferry, we at least want to have a few other memories there during our wedding weekend.  We are encouraging all of our guests to stop there and explore if they have the chance.  It's only about 20 minutes from Sheperdstown, WV (where the reception and hotel is located) so it's not very far out of the way and definitely worth the stop.  Here is a link if you are interested in learning more about historical Harpers Ferry, WV:  http://historicharpersferry.com/ and here are a few pictures that I took while we were there...

Kerriann and Logan finally meet!

During our visit to WV one of my best friends from home, Courtney Moore and I were FINALLY able to get together for the first time in at least a year.  Courtney is married to a Marine so she is also living out of town which doesn't make it easy for us to coordinate visits.  It was so great to talk with her and catch up, and to introduce our babies to each other... especially since we have been planning their arranged marriage since the day we found out Courtney was having a boy!  This meeting was their first official date, and their second will be at OUR WEDDING... where Kerriann and Logan will serve as flower girl and ring bearer together.  We're not counting on both of them being able to walk by that point (Logan was born on Christmas day), so we're working on a creative way to get both babies down the longest church aisle in WV :).  If you have any good ideas (other than a wagon) please pass them our way!

Til our wedding!  I know I haven't really mentioned it yet on the blog, but I will be writing about it more and more as October 30, 2010 quickly approaches.  Here are a few pictures of Kevin and I that my sister took while we were at home.  Living so far away from everyone we don't have many opportunities to have pictures taken of the two of us together so we jumped at the chance!
