Howdy ya'll, this is Kevin and I'm a redneck now (just kidding). I can't change the font color sorry. I probably won't be updating this as much as Adriane however I think this whole blog isn't such a bad idea. Adriane is a blimp now so be prepared any day for a phone call with some more exciting news.

Work is going well, I'm still on a hold status and since my arrival the only thing I've been doing is losing my winter beer belly. For a while there Adriane and I were comparing bellies haha. Fort Rucker is awesome, I love being around the Aviation community, and I can't wait to start all the training. The aircraft we fly are so technologically advanced they impress me every time I even see one. Since I've had so much time on my hands, I've got back into fishing and playing the guitar, all the meanwhile annoying A more and more each day. The southern life is nice, warm (already a little too warm), and waiting for visitors!

Weird things that have happened since arriving: catching a dead bat on the front of my truck on the highway, backing into a truck and the policeman saying "I can't do anything, ya'll figure it out" (It was on private property), and seeing my baby girl winking at us on a 3D ultrasound.

That's it from pops, check back soon for some new pictures!

The House!

Here are a few pictures of the house to keep you occupied until I can take a few new ones...hope to get some better ones of the inside in the next week. These were all taken a couple of days after we moved in so there was not much time to decorate and organize.

Kevin's Birthday Weekend

Kevin's birthday was April 18th so last weekend we took our first trip to Panama City Beach, FL. It's only about 1 1/2 hours from where we live so it was not a bad drive at all. We went to the beach, drove around and explored a few different places including the Navy base, had dinner at Uncle Ernie's Bayfront Grill (awesome food!) and finished the night up at Schooner's, a local bar and grill, to celebrate. A band from NY called Area Codes was playing and they were awesome! We had a really great time...Kevin might have had too much fun, haha! It was nice to go out there because smoking is banned so the little one was in no danger. Everyone in the south is so friendly too...it didn't matter that we arrived alone...by the time we left we had made about 8 friends. Kevin even found a few dance partners including an older woman who was also celebrating her birthday :). We finished up the weekend with a home made cheese cake although Kevin declined for me to sing him the Happy Birthday song. I'm pretty sure he still made a wish though before he blew out the candles. I'll include a few pictures as incentive for friends and family to come visit us. If you come I promise we will take you to the coast and show you a good time!

New to this

Hello all! I've wanted to start a blog for some time now since I LOVE writing. Every time I read a blog I think "wow, I'd really like to do something like this." Now that I am living so far from home I think it's the perfect time to start one. From now on I am going to keep everyone informed here so if you're wondering what Kevin, the baby, and I are up to...you can come to one place and easily find out! I'll try to update daily. Apologies in advance if I'm not too exciting. Just because I think it's extremely exciting that our nursery bedding was just delivered does not mean that you will share the same excitement...but bear with me. :) I'll also be sure to post a lot of pictures. Feel free to share this with anyone that I have forgotten to send the link to. Pregnancy has not been easy on my brain and I am finding it harder and harder to remember to fill everyone in on every development. If you have any suggestions of anything that you would like me to elaborate on feel free to let me know! I am doing this for my own sanity (I have to find some kind of hobby to occupy my time once Kevin starts flight school!) but I am also doing it so that I don't lose touch with everyone up north. Well, it is time to get out of the house for my daily errand so that I don't develop cabin fever. Will post more updates soon!
